Jake Conkiln is a 21-year-old ex-public servant and caffeine fiend with a penchant for taking pictures. An avid student of the camera-based craft, he’s been practicing photography with an almost religious fervor since early 2015. His work consists mainly of environmental landscapes, after hours street photography and even some storm chasing. He’s willing to go to just about any lengths to continue curating knowledge and skills, from humble Haslett, MI to the Rocky Mountains, to the sunny streets of Santa Monica, he’s been around.         Ashley Dyer has been doing photography since 2012. She started in photojournalism and worked as the photo editor for the Viking Longboat, Haslett High School's newspaper. She won multiple awards through MIPA [Michigan Interscholastic Press Association] for best photo and has continued on to start her own photography business. Ashley has photographed a courthouse wedding, senior photos, family portraits, and more. She currently has a full time job but accepts photography jobs on the side. I’m a 24 year old college student currently majoring in Exercise Science at Western Michigan University. I’ve always been interested in photography but I really didn’t start to immerse myself in it until just a couple years ago. What got me into wanting to learn photography was astrophotography, steel wool photography, and just long exposure photography in general. I find the concept astounding even to this day. I enjoy staying up all night trying to capture the best photo regardless if it’s of the stars, light painting, or any type of long exposure.
